Photonics SG 2017 will be held July 31-August 4, 2017, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore. At this rare event, the Conference on Lasers and Electroc-Optics Pacific Rim (CLEO-PR), OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC), and the Photonics Global Conference (PGC) bring together international academics, researchers, engineers and students working in the photonics arena for the discussion of new developments, concepts, and practices, as well as to promote the development of novel photonic applications. With various symposia, speakers, special sessions, and workshops, Photonics 2017 is the largest platform outside of the United States for researchers to exchange ideas and present their latest research. The conference allows for interactions among broad disciplines in the photonics family, including leading scientists and engineers actively working on lasers and their applications, nanophotonics, metamaterials, biophotonics, plasmonics, optical devices, optical transmission and optical networking, optical fibers, optical switching systems, and related technologies.
Fiberguide, who has a facility located in Shanghai, China, is excited to be sending their executive team including Patricia Seniw (President), Mic Chaudoir (VP of Sales and Marketing), Patrick Fung (Sales Director), Xiaolong Tian (GM of China Operations), and Devinder Saini (VP of Research & Development) to Singapore. Attending this rare event will allow them the opportunity to gain more knowledge in the field of photonics, as well as to showcase Fiberguide’s many new innovations. This includes their award-winning technology which garnered them several accolades at this year’s Halma Innovation and Technology Expo back in April. Fiberguide not only received the award for Highest Percentage of Sales from New Products, as well as Sector Company of the Year. They also received the meeting’s most prestigious award: Best Collaboration. This occurred between Ocean Optics and Fiberguide’s executive, Xiaolong Tian, for the development of a spectroscopic system which detects counterfeit banknotes in China.
Surrounded by photonic researchers, developers, and innovators, Photonics 2017 provides Fiberguide with the opportunity to network with industries from around the world. With award-winning innovations and technology that can be used to develop many more new products, Fiberguide will not only be an exhibitor, but a participant as well, able to contribute as much as they are sure to take away. FIberguide expects that Photonics 2017 will be incredibly rewarding for them, as well as for everyone they will have the honor of meeting, and cannot wait for it to begin!
