The SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing Tradeshow has begun and will go through April 19th at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Fiberguide Industries is excited to announce our participation, and we invite you to come by our booth and visit with us.

SPIE is an international nonprofit society advancing an interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of light. The organization focuses on emerging technologies and offers support through continuing education, information sharing, publications, patent precedent, and career and professional growth. Founded in 1955 as the Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers, SPIE has a rich history of steady growth through diverse and altruistic programs that support a unique group of professionals who choose to devote their lives to the study and development of light-based technologies.

The annual show provides opportunities for networking and learning specifically targeted to the Military & Defense sector, a highly technologically-focused niche industry. That’s why it’s such a special event for Fiberguide Industries, the recent recipient of the Military & Aerospace Electronics Award (MAE).

Fiberguide will be on hand in Booth #933 demonstrating several of our cutting-edge, quality products. First, our High Power Assemblies use our High Power SMA and High Power Industrial FD-80 connectors to provide a fiber optic link between the laser source and the target, perfect for laser cutting, welding, drilling, and marking applications. Also available will be our Fiber Bragg Gratings: fiber sensors that measure strain, stress, and temperature in machinery, aircrafts, bridges, and other structures. FBGs, unlike electrical sensors, monitor multiple signals through a single fiber, and are useful in a variety of industries, including military applications. In addition, Fiberguide will showcase our line of Arrays and Optical Fibers. Used for performing optical sensing and laser power delivery for industrial, medical, military, and research applications, our bundled assemblies are available in many different configurations for a wide range of photonics systems.

Ours is definitely the booth to visit to round out your SPIE experience!

Fiberguide was founded in New Jersey in 1977 as a specialty optical fiber manufacturer focused on corporate, government, and university research customers. We’ve experienced tremendous evolution in our four-decade journey to our current positioning as an innovative partner providing a variety of photonics solutions to a growing OEM customer base.
