The SPIE Astronomical Telescopes & Instrumentation Tradeshow is coming June 12-14 to the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. There will also be conferences and courses from June 10 to June 15. Fiberguide is excited to be in attendance this year, sharing some of their most innovative products while networking with others in the industry.
Fiberguide is looking forward to meeting you in Booth #720, where we will be showcasing a range of products including Arrays, Gold/Aluminum/Nylon/Acrylate Fiber, and Fiber Assemblies. Our products are customized, so we offer features and advantages that typically aren’t seen with other companies. With applications in Astronomy, Aerospace, and Telescope technologies, our Arrays & Assemblies excel due to their performance in high temperature, precision, and high-power processes.
SPIE is a not-for-profit society whose goal is to advance emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, continuing education, publications, patent precedent, and career and professional growth. On July 1, 1955, the Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers was founded to specialize in the application of photo-optical instrumentation, holding its first technical meeting in Los Angeles in August. Over six decades later, hosting this event each year, honoring the best in optics and photonics with annual awards, and making yearly donations of up to $4 million to support education and research are just a few of the organization’s efforts to promote advancement in the field.
The SPIE event is the most prestigious event for developers of ground- and space-based telescopes, their supporting technologies, and the latest instrumentation. The conference will focus on astrophotonics. With over 2,000 technical presentations, an industry exhibition, and courses focused on training and education, SPIE 2018 is sure to have an impact on everyone who attends.
